1. Publishers Editorial Profile: Mei Mei is about fashion,
culture, and lifestyle issues of interest to the Chinese
woman living in the USA. At this time we will be the only
magazine of this type published in the USA. The other magazines
covering our subject matter are directed to ¡°Asian¡± women.
Our magazine will be published in both Chinese and English
(on the same page, not separate issues).
a. Fashion: review and promote fashion to the Chinese market,
via profiles of brand name clothing and stories about models/
movie/ music artists.
b. Culture: review movies, music, and influential Chinese
lifestyle trendsetters.
c. Lifestyle: how Chinese are living in USA. Jobs, Schools,
housing, etc. Best places in USA for Chinese, etc. Stories
by and about Chinese living in the USA.
2. Demographics: Per the 2000 USA Census, there are now
over
2,300,000 Chinese from mainland China, and over 100,000
Chinese from Taiwan, living in the USA. (census data provided).
Our primary audience will be the educated Chinese woman,
with a college degree, between 25-45 years old. This reader
buys top level fashion, skin care products and jewelry.
